Locations

Alvernia University has two locations in Reading, Pa., a site in Pottsville and a soon-to-open Allentown branch. It also offers courses and resources to residents in Montgomery County and North Philadelphia through partnerships in those regions.

Reading locations

Alvernia’s locations are anchored by its Hill Campus, where it all began in 1958. In 2021, it expanded to the John R. Post Center at Reading CollegeTowne, a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot living and learning facility in downtown Reading.

Community-based Partners

  • Montgomery County Community College (MCCC)’s University Center: Alvernia joined Montgomery County Community College (MCCC)’s University Center partnership of higher education institutions to expand advanced-degree opportunities for students, employees and community members.
  • North Philadelphia: Alvernia University, Harcum College, and I-LEAD, Inc. have partnered to provide North Philadelphia residents with a pathway to earn a bachelor's degree, with resources and services available through the Community Resource Center at Deliverance Evangelistic Church.

Transfer Partnerships

  • Although Alvernia accepts transfer credits for nearly all accredited institutions of higher learning, we have forged special relationships with some regional schools to make transferring credits even easier for students to enroll at Alvernia after attending a nearby community college or technical school.
