Individual Visits
An Individual Visit is a personalized, one-on-one (or one family) campus visit tailored to a prospective student’s interests. It typically includes a private guided campus tour led by a student ambassador and a meeting with an admissions counselor. It may also involve optional components such as a meeting with a faculty member or coach. This format allows for flexible scheduling and in-depth questions, providing a customized look at campus life and academic opportunities.
Information Session
An Information Session is a scheduled visit program that begins with a structured presentation led by an admissions counselor. The information session covers topics such as academic programs, application requirements, financial aid, and student life. After the presentation, guests will participate in a guided campus tour led by a Golden Guide. This option is ideal for families seeking both a comprehensive overview of the college and a first-hand look at campus.
Open House
An Open House is a large, event-style program designed to showcase Alvernia University to many prospective students and families at once. For this visit, you will typically attend admissions and academic presentations; meet faculty, staff, and current students; explore student services and academic departments; and participate in guided campus tours offered throughout the event. Open Houses provide the most in-depth and wide-ranging introduction to the college experience.
Shadow Visits
Have you been admitted to Alvernia and want to experience a day in the life of a Golden Wolf? We are happy to offer shadow visits, which provide admitted students with the opportunity to shadow a current Alvernia student in the discipline of your choosing, when possible. If you would like any extra accommodations added to your day, such as Student Financial Services or athletics, please let us know.
