Alvernia University Women's Council will hold its 7th Annual Women's Council Luncheon on June 11 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading hotel, 701 Penn St.
Kat Ketter, associate vice president, member engagement at Jefferson Health Plans, will receive the 2025 Bernardine Legacy Award. Ketter is an authentic and energetic leader who tirelessly provides access to health care, education and mentoring opportunities for women and the Berks County community.

The Bernardine Legacy Award honors outstanding Alvernia University alumnae and friends who have distinguished themselves in their professional careers while also serving as a leader and role model to women. Proceeds from the event support the efforts of Alvernia’s Women's Council as well as the Newcombe Scholarship Fund. This fund provides support to adult students who need financial aid to complete their education. Alvernia is one of a limited number of colleges selected by the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation annually to offer these scholarship.
