Alvernia returns to Santander Arena to celebrate class of 2026
Alvernia University announces its commencement and recognition ceremonies schedule for the class of 2026. Graduates from May 2026, December 2025, and August 2025 will celebrate commencement on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET at Santander Arena in downtown Reading.
The university has continued to restructure its graduating student event schedule to allow for more accessible travel for parents and other loved ones to participate in the various events.
Alvernia’s Commencement Weekend 2026 begins on the morning of Friday, May 8 with the induction and pinning ceremonies for Nursing, Delta Mu Delta Honors Society and Occupational Therapy. In the afternoon, the university will hold an Honors Convocation and Senior Athlete Recognition and Reception. The evening will feature a Baccalaureate Ceremony at Sacred Heart Chapel. Senior Athlete Award Reception and Multi-Cultural Celebration on Friday, May 9, 2025, with celebrations spanning from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
