Glynis A. Fitzgerald, Ph.D. named to 2024 Lehigh Vally Business’ Power 100
Lehigh Valley Business Journal’s editorial staff and senior leadership team name Alvernia University President Glynis A. Fitzgerald, Ph.D. to the Lehigh Valley Business Power 100.
“I am honored to be acknowledged among so many who work tirelessly to better our region," said Fitzgerald. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our leadership, faculty, staff, trustees, students, and many partners who unite in our distinctly Franciscan mission to meet and serve the needs of our communities.”
The Lehigh Valley Business’ Power 100 are comprised of people who shape their communities and influence the quality of life throughout the region. They are leaders – some quite prominent and well-known, as well as those who are behind-the-scenes changemakers. They operate in all spheres of endeavor: law, finance, education, government, health care, business and nonprofits.
Fitzgerald, who is in the first year of her presidency, will officially be installed during an inauguration ceremony on April 12.
“Each day brings new opportunities to work with community and business leaders, university staff, faculty and students, and our Bernadine Franciscan Sisters leadership to create the university’s future,” said Fitzgerald. “Together we will increase access for people in our community to achieve higher education degrees leading to successful careers for them and further enhance economic development in our region.”
