Alvernia welcomes students and families affected by closure; offers scholarship

In response to the Alderson Broaddus University’s (ABU) Board of Trustees' vote to develop a plan to disband the university, Alvernia University announces a streamlined transfer process for students and their families affected by the decision during this challenging time.

The Alvernia-Alderson Broaddus Completion Scholarship for undergraduate students provides $24,000 in financial aid to help reduce the financial burden for ABU students making their transfer decisions. In addition, Alvernia will offer a 20% discount for ABU graduate students in the Master of Education program transferring to most Alvernia.

Current and incoming Alderson Broaddus students will experience an expedited admissions process to Alvernia University. With a waived application fee and dedicated advisors to help with the process, students can live on-campus and move in, beginning classes this month.
