Blessing and dedication ceremony scheduled for newly-opened 100,000 square foot complex 

 

Alvernia University’s Recreation, Wellness and Health Sciences Complex (The Flynn PLEX), the largest, most ambitious project in university history, adding more than 100,000 square feet of academic and recreation space and 15 acres to Alvernia’s campus, will be blessed and dedicated with a ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 10.

 

Tours of the new recreation areas, locker rooms, cutting-edge labs and classroom space will also be available following the event.

 

Remarks will be given by Alvernia University President John R. Loyack, Alvernia board of trustees members and campaign co-chairs, Michael Fromm and Angel Helm, Alvernia Provost and Senior Vice President Glynis Fitzgerald, Alvernia Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff John McCloskey, Alvernia student Allison Walker, and Alvernia President Emeritus Thomas F. Flynn

 

The event begins at 3 p.m. ET at the Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX located at 610 St. Bernardine St., Reading, PA 19607.

 

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
