Travis A. Berger, Ph.D
Assistant Professor of Business and Leadership
I am a leadership and management scholar and practitioner jointly appointed to the business and leadership departments, and I am the Founder and Managing Partner of Vide Consulting Group, a leadership and management consulting firm. In my former role as Assistant Director of Leadership Programs, I successfully designed, launched, and managed the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program, currently offered as the Master of Arts in Leadership.
My research primarily focuses on the intersection of leadership and organizational strategy, servant leadership and power, strategic talent management, and high performers. My consulting work helps organizations increase their market value by aligning strategy, operational excellence, and leadership. The impacts of this work lead to organizational direction, alignment, and commitment and long-term superior organizational performance.
I hold a PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in Education from Alvernia University, and a BA from Penn State University, University Park. I was awarded the 23rd Annual IUP Doctoral Fellowship at Indiana University of PA, received the Master’s in Education Award of Excellence at Alvernia University, and graduated with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from Penn State University.
While at Penn State, I was tapped into the Skull & Bones Society, was a scholarship athlete on the PSU Men’s Soccer Team, and was part of history, winning the first Big Ten Championship for a men’s team at Penn State. I earned Big Ten First-Team and Academic All-American honors and was honored to serve as captain my senior year.
I live in Sinking Spring, PA with my wife and four sons and enjoys sports, the outdoors, traveling, and new experiences.
