"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred; let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy."

-St. Francis of Assisi

The Office of Campus Ministry at Alvernia University provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to respond to God's call by engaging in a community of faith, pursuing a life of service, and advancing peace and social justice initiatives in our community and in the world. While rooted in the spirituality of Saint Francis of Assisi and the Roman Catholic Church, the Office of Campus Ministry recognizes the Christian call for inclusiveness and welcomes persons of all faith backgrounds, encouraging a spirit of ecumenism and inter-faith dialogue.

We do this by sponsoring activities in the area of 5 pillars:

  • Catholic Ministry
  • Ecumenical & Interfaith Ministry
  • Peace & Social Justice
  • Alternative Breaks
  • Spiritual Life
