Francis and Clare sought to live a life of evangelic poverty that was rooted in the incarnation of Jesus, the Word made flesh. Central to who we are as a Catholic Franciscan University and drawing on the foundations of Francis and Clare, we promote our Catholic identity on campus through experiences of worship, education and service. With a welcoming spirit, we seek to provide engaging experiences with all who want to know more about the Catholic Tradition.
- Worship: Every Sunday evening we offer students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to partake in the sacred liturgy at the chapel in the Motherhouse.
- Education: We offer RCIA (the Rite of Christian Initiation) to those in our university community interested in becoming fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.
- Service: We emphasize Catholic Identity through our Alternative Breaks to Camden, NJ, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. We also provide a service retreat for freshmen in the fall semester.
