MSOT Student Occupational Therapy Association

Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA)

The Occupational Therapy Student Association of Alvernia University creates an environment of professionalism among the occupational therapy students and facilitates a better understanding of the profession through community service.

Here's a sample of some of the events and service opportunities we've done in the past and available to SOTA members:

  • Partnered with Audible for Autism to provide a unique football experience for two children on the spectrum at halftime of an Alvernia Football game. Check out the below YouTube Video.

  • With Allied, co-hosted a panel discussion on LGBTQ+ healthcare and occupational therapy roles.

  • B-I-N-G-O! Once a month, play bingo with the residents of Berks Heim Assisted Living.
