Alvernia University’s Data Science major focuses on teaching students how to extract, manipulate, analyze, visualize, and disseminate data. Students in the program work with real-world datasets in subject areas such as finance, economics, geography, and healthcare. The Data Science major combines techniques and knowledge from many fields including computer science and mathematics.

SAS Tier 1 Academic Specialized Institution

Alvernia's Data Science Program is recognized as an SAS Tier 1 Academic Specialized Institution. Students enrolled in the Data Science major will be able to earn a co-branded badge from Alvernia University and the SAS Institute which denotes achievement and proficiency in the use of SAS Analytic Software. Additionally, students can receive discounts when pursing SAS certifications.
