First PA Leadership Conference


Alvernia, Shippensburg and Indiana of PA Universities are sponsoring a first annual, one-day leadership conference for scholars and students, to be held at Dixon University Center (Harrisburg), April 7.

Students are encouraged to submit research abstracts for the Pennsylvania Leadership Studies Conference.

The 1st Annual Pennsylvania Leadership Studies Conference

Theme - “Leadership: People and Process in a Climate of Uncertainty”
Keynote speaker: Dr. Amber Stephenson

Proposals will be accepted for single papers, panels, complete research sessions and workshops on all aspects of leadership research. Proposals addressing the theme are especially welcome. All sessions will be 75 minutes, and research paper sessions will have 3-4 presentations of 15-20 minutes focused on current research in leadership. Individual paper proposals are welcome, and roundtable session proposals should include a topic and 2-3 proposed discussion prompts. Panel or workshop session proposals should include a title and brief description. All complete research session proposals should include titles and abstracts of each paper along with each author’s name, affiliation and email. Roundtable, panel and workshop session proposals should include title, brief description and participants’ names, affiliations and emails. All questions and proposals should be emailed to Barbara Denison, Shippensburg University. Include your name, affiliation and email (and the same for all members of a complete session) along with abstract not to exceed 250 words.

Deadline for submission is Feb 28, 2018. Program registration will be $35 for regular participants and $10 for students. Preregistration will be available after Feb. 1, 2018.
