Tyler Barrett | Sport Management

Tyler Barrett ’20 has been a member of Alvernia’s men’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams throughout his four years at Alvernia, and a team captain of both since his sophomore year.

“I am actively involved in setting up practices, helping out with training programs, scheduling volunteer opportunities and motivating my teammates,” Tyler says. His dedication to the team has improved his running performance and earned him honors from both Alvernia and the Middle Atlantic Conference.

It’s no surprise that Tyler chose to study Sport Management, because his long-term plan is to be head coach of an athletic team, preferably cross country or track and field. “I hope to not only connect with my student-athletes but lead them on to paths where they can succeed at what they want to do in life and make a difference,” he says.
