Supporting Alvernia

Alvernia Fund

Gifts to the Alvernia Fund are designated to the area of greatest need or restricted to the donors’ area of interest. Projects include student scholarships, classroom equipment and technology upgrades.

Graduating Class Gift

Each senior class leaves a different legacy or way for the University to remember them by way of a Class Gift. The Graduating Class Gift Committee and their classmates decide on a gift for the University each year.

Business Campaign

Businesses from the region are able to support to the Alvernia Fund or contribute to a specific need of the Institution.

Faculty/Staff Campaign

Alvernia faculty and staff generously support the Alvernia Fund, scholarships and other areas of interest through an annual gift.

Corporate Matching Gifts Program

Corporate matching gifts provide a wonderful opportunity for you to double your contribution to Alvernia. Please contact your company’s personnel office to find out about your company’s matching gift program. It always is necessary to secure proper forms from your employer and to submit them to Alvernia in order for us to receive the matching gift.

More than any other gift, scholarships make a direct difference in the life of a student. There are several options for donors who wish to create scholarships in memory of someone important to them or in honor of themselves.

Planned Gifts

The St. Clare Society honors alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends who have recognized the University in their estate plans or made other planned giving arrangements that benefit Alvernia. A gift to the St. Clare Society will help secure Alvernia’s excellence for future generations.

Appreciated Stock

Gifts of appreciated securities may be deducted at full market value on the date of transfer to Alvernia. Please e-mail or call J. Michael Pressimone at or 610.796.8282 before you make the transfer.
