Requirements for Field Experience in Education Programs

Undergraduate students enrolled in education courses with fieldwork must submit the following clearances, certifications of competition, and health and wellness requirements to the Office of Academic Compliance at the beginning of each academic year. All clearances and health requirements are managed through the Complio health portal. See your Alvernia email for instructions.

Clearances

• PA Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Clearance (Act 114)

Certificates of Completion

• Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania (Act 31). Certificates should be turned in to instructors or Academic Compliance Manager Linda S. Maslar.

Health and Wellness Requirements

• Standard University Requirements (upon matriculation)
• Education students must complete a TB Screening. A negative skin test within the past year is required. Please contact the University Medical and Counseling Center to schedule a skin test. All results are to be uploaded into your Complio account along with all health requirements.
