Through a rolling admission process, prospective students may apply to Alvernia at any time. Multiple start dates throughout the year allow accepted students to begin a program of study at an accommodating time. We continually review applications and accept students for each of the six term starts (August, October, February, March, May, and July).

To adhere to Franciscan values, community service hours are also required. In addition, at least 30 credits at

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Alvernia University’s business program sponsors the Lambda Zeta chapter of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society through its accrediting body, ACBSP. Delta Mu Delta is an honor society for juniors, seniors and graduate students that recognizes scholarship in business programs. Membership is limited to the top 20 percent of the junior, senior and graduate classes.
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) provides opportunities for post-secondary and undergraduate students to understand American business enterprise, establish career goals, promote sound financial management, develop character and self-confidence, and facilitate transition from school to work.
