**The Engage Reading initiative will launch in fall 2025.**

Engage Reading aims connect Alvernia students with economic and cultural opportunities in the city, engage local merchants and more deeply embed our community within the robust resources available in Reading.

While the economic impact on the city will be measurable, this initiative will also help our university continue the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters’ call to build a stronger Reading, present our students with intercultural experiences that will support their growth into engaged citizens, and ensures that Alvernia is an inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, heard, appreciated and valued.
