All Alvernia University students are billed by semester. Your initial invoice is available online on your myAlvernia account about 30 days prior to the due date. Full payment is due one week prior to the beginning of each semester, unless you opt to enroll in one of Alvernia’s Interest-Free payment plans.
Educational expenses are easier to pay when spread over a predictable period of time with interest-free monthly payments. The University’s Interest-Free Payment Plans provide a monthly payment option as an alternative to financing an Alvernia education without the need for large annual or term payments, while also helping to limit student loan borrowing. Our payment plans are available for a small enrollment fee and include:
- Convenient, interest-free monthly payments
- 24-hour account access through myAlvernia/Finances/Student Accounts
- Automatic scheduled monthly payments from your bank account with free e-check or credit card (2.95% service charge, effective July 1, 2024) through Self-Service/Finances/Student Accounts.
If you are planning to use the payment plan option, remember that you should include all tuition, fee, room and board charges for the semester, when creating your plan. You should check your financial aid award letter to see how much aid you should expect to receive for the semester. By reviewing your charges and expected financial aid before starting to sign up, you can better determine how much to budget for your payment plan.
Please note that your payment plan amounts will not automatically change if you add or drop classes or if your financial aid awards are increased/decreased. You are responsible for checking your student account and paying the full amount due by the final installment of your payment plan.
You can enroll in an Alvernia payment plan once you have registered for fall or spring semester classes. Payment plans are not available for summer terms.
