The Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference is an annual event sponsored by the Higher Education Council of Berks County, which includes Albright College, Alvernia University, Kutztown University, Penn State Berks and Reading Area Community College. This year, the conference will be hosted by Alvernia in the PLEX at 465 Saint Bernardine St., Reading, PA 19607.
The theme for this year is Minds in Motion: Research, Reflection, and Insight.
The conference provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to showcase their research and creative accomplishments while engaging with peers, faculty, and the community. Students from every discipline are invited to participate. Whether you are a researcher, poet, writer, artist, musician, or performer, this event offers a meaningful way to highlight your work and strengthen your resume or portfolio.
Submissions are welcome in a variety of formats, including posters, paper presentations, artistic displays of visual art, music and theatre, and project presentations. A new feature this year will be the addition of a team capstone presentation category. The event will also feature a keynote speaker who will set the tone for a day of discovery, creativity, and collaboration.
Abstract submission will be required for all presenters. After abstracts are accepted, all attendees, including presenters and guests, will be asked to register for the event. Abstract submission will open early in the spring semester, and the link will be available on this page. Additional details about the conference will be posted by January.
Faculty are encouraged to inform their students about this opportunity and to consider how participation in the conference might be integrated into their spring courses.
