Alvernia's Office for Teaching and Learning aims to help faculty members thrive and succeed. Headed by co-directors Drs. Jodi Radosh and Ana Ruiz, the office is based at the Alumni House.

The vision for Alvernia University’s Office for Teaching and Learning is to provide resources and programs to support faculty from all disciplines with best practices in teaching excellence, innovations, and technology.
 

Mission and Goals

The mission of Alvernia University’s Office for Teaching and Learning is to help faculty thrive and succeed in their teaching. The center offers teaching and learning and training and workshops for faculty, reservable space for faculty meetings and collaboration, and individual or group discussion on course enhancement. The primary goals of the office include:

  • Develop a collegial culture for various faculty constituents by providing a welcoming environment for them to seek both support and community
  • Identify professional development needs across disciplines for faculty teaching excellence, innovations, and technology
  • Provide resources and programming for faculty to excel in pedagogy
