Transfer Events

Alvernia understands that transfer students often have unique considerations and questions. With that in mind, we plan campus visits just for students transitioning from other institutions of higher learning, so experienced college students can see firsthand how Alvernia can help you reach your goals.

There will be a special Information Session for students interested in transferring from Reading Area Community College on Friday, March 13th. For students who need transportation for this event, a shuttle bus will leave RACC at 9:15am for the short ride to Alvernia's campus. Presentations begin at 10am, and the session will finish around 12:30pm. The Info Session features:

  • The many benefits of studying - and earning a degree - at Alvernia
  • Navigating the admissions and financial aid process
  • Campus tour
  • Transcript evaluations (please bring documents from all schools you've attended)
  • Complimentary lunch in the Dining Hall

To RSVP and attend this RACC Transfer Session please register online now via this link.

If you are not a RACC student or are unable to attend the March 13th event, we invite you to attend a general Information SessionSaturday Hours or Open House event. All of these visits are relaxed yet informative, and feature the same activities, information, and presentations as a transfer-only event.

You are also welcome to create your own Individual Visit, which is a one-on-one meeting with an Admissions Counselor to talk about the admissions and financial aid process, and a full tour of campus. Just like our events, if you have transcripts or other documents from previous schools you've attended, please bring those with you to your individual visit so that we can determine your academic starting point.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Undergraduate Admissions Office or call 610-796-8269, we're happy to help!

Please note: Events listed are only for students intending to take classes at our main campus in Reading. If you are interested in taking classes at our Schuylkill or Philadelphia Centers, please contact those locations directly to schedule your visit.
