Reading Collegiate Scholars Initiative

Alvernia designed the Reading Collegiate Scholars Program (RCSP) in 2012 to provide diverse, low-income, under-represented, and first generation students from the City of Reading with expanded opportunities to attend and succeed in college. Through the promotion of students’ personal development and civic engagement, the RCSP aims to transform not only the students who are directly supported by the program, but also the campus and community in which they learn and serve.

We are extremely proud of the success of the RCSP program and the accomplishments of our scholars.  We firmly believe that these talented and deserving students will be instrumental in reshaping our local economy and our community as a whole.
