Overnight Visit: A Campus Sleepover
An overnight visit can be an important part of the college selection process, so we encourage you to stay on our campus to find out what it’s like to be an Alvernia student for one night.
While you're here, you’ll have the opportunity to attend classes, check out student activities, meet and make friends with current students, eat in the dining hall, and spend the night in a residence hall with your student host. Who knows, you might even meet your future roommate! A sleepover can help you experience Alvernia campus life and show you all that AU has to offer. Overnight visits are available Sunday through Thursday nights and are intended for students who have submitted an application for admission.
Request an Overnight
Please make your request at least two weeks in advance so our Overnight & Shadow Coordinator Kristen Sipling can arrange your accommodations. After we get your request, we’ll contact you to learn more about what you want to do while you're on campus, like classes you want to attend or meetings you would like to arrange (financial aid, professors, coaches, etc). You can also call Kristen directly at 610-796-3423 with questions, or contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 610-796-8269.
Prior to your stay, you will receive a confirmation packet including a campus map, directions to the university and what you will need to bring with you for your visit. We will also include a copy of our medical & conduct form that must be returned before your arrival.
All Campus Overnight students should report to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions on the second floor of the Student Center between 3:00 and 5:00pm on the day of their stay to meet their student hosts.
If you need to arrive at a different time, or need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible by email or calling 610-796-8269.
