The Drone Academy at Alvernia University immerses participants in the rapidly expanding field of drone technology.


Key deliverables:

Upon completion of the academy, participants will be ready to take the DARTdrone exam to become a certified drone operator. This Drone Academy is presented in partnership with the DARTdrones' Professional Wings Program, the leading nationwide drone training company, and a pioneer of drone training in the United States. The DARTdrones team of over 30 instructors is composed of manned pilots, specialty drone pilots, and sUAS operating public safety officials, providing our clients with the highest quality drone training in the country.  
 

Dates and Cost


The next Drone Academy will be in the Spring or Summer of 2025. The cost will be $1,250 per participant.

Format


The program includes one full day of flight training, one full day of Part 107 in-person training, and full access to our 14 online micro courses called the Real-World Flight Planning and Execution Program. Most students take the two in-person classes in one full weekend on a Saturday and Sunday. However, splitting the classes into two different weekends is possible if needed.
