The Principal Certification (K-12) program is the ideal program for educators who want to make a difference in education. Our program prepares teachers and supervisors to take leadership positions and helps candidates meet Pennsylvania certification requirements in K-12 educational administration. It is recommended that candidates for Principal Certification (K-12) have already attained a master’s degree or are pursuing a master’s degree while completing the requirements for Principal Certification (K-12). Please note Alvernia's also offers the Principal Certification (K-12) with the Master of Education program.
The program’s curriculum prepares future educational leaders to interact successfully with students, teachers, parents, school board members, and the community at large. The Principal Certification (K-12) program has been developed to reflect the general standards and specific program guidelines prescribed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
