
Transfer Scholarships
Money to help you move....ahead
Financial aid is an important part of the transfer process. At Alvernia, about 99% of transfer students receive some form of financial aid. The following scholarships are given to qualified full-time day undergraduate transfer students working towards their first bachelor's degree:ACT (Alvernia Connects with Transfers) Scholarship*
This $4,000 scholarship is given to students who have 3.0 or higher grade point average.
ARC (Alvernia and RACC Connection) Scholarship
This $2,000 scholarship is given to students who have a 3.0 grade point average or higher that transfer from Reading Area Community College.
ARPA (Alvernia/RACC Partnership Agreement) Scholarship**
All full-time students transferring from RAAC to Alvernia University in a traditional day program will receive the new Alvernia/RACC Partnership Award. This $6,000 annual award is guaranteed to all qualifying students.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship*
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to students holding current membership in Phi Theta Kappa.
*Students receiving the ACT Scholarship are also eligible to receive the ARC and/or Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships.
**Students receiving the ARPA Scholarship are not eligible to receive the ACT or ARC Scholarships, but are still eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.
