The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post-911 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 (GI Bill®). Under this program, the act provides payments for tuition, fees, book and supplies stipend and a housing allowance for veterans who have served on active duty since September 11, 2001.
In the program, a partnership between the federal government and Alvernia University will match agreements with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) to pay veterans' tuition and fee costs above those covered by the GI Bill Benefit.
Any further questions please visit VA's Yellow Ribbon Program webpage to determine eligibility.

In some cases, the answer is yes! To find out if you can transfer your eligibility, read the information and follow the instructions found on the GI Bill website. Alvernia fully participates in this aspect of the Gi Bill, so if the benefit is transferred to a spouse or child, that person can certainly apply to Alvernia University.
Yes, you can. If you've served at least 90 days, you can receive a tuition benefit based on how long you've served. For more information, please view the Post-911 GI Bill Education Benefits.
