Overnight Visits

We realize the importance of the overnight visit as a part of the college selection process. Plan an overnight visit to our campus and find out what it’s like to be a real college student. During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to attend classes, check out student activities, meet and make friends with current students, eat in the dining hall and spend the night in a residence hall with your host student. Who knows, you might even meet your future roommate! This experience will allow you to view campus life at Alvernia firsthand and enable you to uncover all that Alvernia University has to offer. Overnight visits are available Sunday through Thursday nights for students and are intended for students who have completed an application for admission.

Request a Visit
Contact the Office of Admissions at 1-610-796-8269 (or 1-888-ALVERNIA) or email your request to admissions@alvernia.edu at least two weeks prior to your anticipated visit so we can arrange for a host and talk to professors about potential classes. We’ll contact you about possible dates as well as visit details, such as which classes you might want to attend or any special meetings you would like on campus (financial aid, a professor, a coach, etc.).

Visit Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation packet which includes a map of campus, directions to the university and what you will need to bring with you for your visit. We will also send along a copy of our Medical/Conduct form that must be returned prior to your visit.

Campus Arrival Overnight students should report to the Office of Admissions on the second floor of the Student Center between 3:00 and 5:00 to meet their host student. (If you need to arrive at a later time, call or email us to make other arrangements.) Also, please call or email the Office of Admissions if you find that you are unable to attend.
