Education is a dynamic field. Alvernia University's Undergraduate, Masters, Certifications, and Ph.D. programs help you meet the challenges of education with innovative, engaging teaching methodologies.
Students graduating from Alvernia leave not only with a degree and the preparation necessary for securing an occupation in the academic field, but with a greater understanding of how they can impact the world around them and the confidence to do so. No matter where you are on the path to higher education, you will learn the importance of scholarship, collaboration, and diversity from Alvernia's outstanding faculty.
Most importantly, Alvernia's curriculum is accredited by the Pennsylvania State Department of Education, ensuring you are prepared to meet the challenges of today's classroom.
Unique to Alvernia's Education program is our Montessori School, founded over 50 years ago. Located just minutes from campus, the Montessori School offers student teaching as well as a variety of volunteer opportunities for students to further their learning and refine their teaching skills. In addition to Alvernia's Montessori School, education students receive student teaching and placement at a wealth of top schools within the Reading area.
