Job Summary:

The Science and Mathematics Department in the College of Arts and Sciences at Alvernia University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Physics.  We seek candidates with a Ph.D n Physics, including evidence of quality teaching experience and scholarly productivity.

  • Classroom and laboratory teaching undergraduate courses in physics
  • Advising students
  • Engaging in service to the university
  • Developing a research program appropriate for the undergraduate level
  • Ability to teach using multiple pedagogical approaches 
  • Have a defined area of scholarly interest
  • Prior experience in teaching Statistics and Modern Physics is preferred
  • For tenure-track consideration, candidates must have an earned doctorate and evidence of scholarly output.
