The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Alvernia University is accepting applications for two tenure-track positions, at the assistant or associate level. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program in Reading and Philadelphia. The successful candidates will also supervise practicum and internship students, advise students, sponsor student organizations, serve on university committees, engage in public service, and conduct scholarly research. One position is for program director. The candidate is expected to present a known record of leading programs and has both CACREP accreditation and mental health experience.
We seek candidates with a Ph.D./Ed.D. in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program as well as evidence of quality teaching experience and scholarly productivity. Licensure as a professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is expected.
