The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Alvernia University is accepting applications for a tenure-track mid-career academic, and program director, at the assistant or associate level who has a known track record of leading and has both CACREP accreditation and mental health experience. The position is anticipated to start Spring or Summer 2021. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program in Reading and Philadelphia and administering the program. The successful candidates will also supervise practicum and internship students, advise students, sponsor student organizations, serve on university committees, engage in public service, and conduct scholarly research.
We seek candidates with a Ph.D./Ed.D. in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program as well as evidence of quality teaching, CACREP administrative experience, and scholarly productivity. Licensure as a professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is expected.
