The College of Humanities and Social Services seeks a full-time Assistant Professor, tenure track, to begin Fall 2022.
Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program in Reading and Philadelphia. The successful candidate will also supervise practicum and internship students, advise students, sponsor student organizations, serve on university committees, engage in public service, and conduct scholarly research. The candidate is expected to assist in program development, outcome assessment, and CACREP accreditation. Active participation in faculty governance and the life of the department is required.
The successful candidate will have experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and have a working knowledge of trauma-informed care. We seek candidates with a Ph.D./Ed.D. in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program as well as evidence of quality teaching experience and scholarly productivity. Licensure as a professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is expected or obtained within the first six months of hire.
