Alvernia University’s College of Professional Programs invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Business Accounting beginning August 2021.
Candidates must hold a PhD or DBA in accounting.
Required Qualifications: Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to teach using multiple pedagogical approaches, and have a defined area of scholarly interest. With ACBSP Accredited Programs, the business faculty candidate must include sufficient academic credentials and business or professional experience to ensure appropriate emphasis on both business theory and practice to meet program objectives. Candidates should be aware that there is new educational requirements to sit for the CPA by January 2021 which will have a direct effect on curriculum changes in accounting.
For tenure-track consideration, candidates must have an earned doctorate and evidence of scholarly output. Teaching assignments may include traditional day, graduate and adult accelerated courses, off-site, and online/blended delivery formats. Commitment to engaging in high-impact practices such as service-learning and experiential learning, and use of innovative pedagogy.
