Research and Interest

The areas of mathematics which are of special interest to Professor Gieringer are the History of Mathematics, Abstract Algebra, and Calculus instruction. Outside interests include hiking and world traveling. He finds special interes in visiting some of the world’s greatest mathematicians. He is currently working on coauthoring a text in Calculus instruction.
