Staci Silar, PT, DPT

Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy

Staci A. Silar, PT, DPT is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Alvernia University. Staci joins Alvernia with 10 years of clinical experience. She is excited to join the team of physical therapy educators here at Alvernia University.

Dr. Silar is a graduate of Widener University in 2008 achieving a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, with a special concentration in neurological rehabilitation and research. During her time at Widener University she was part of a research group which was accepted to present a platform presentation at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in 2007. She has spent her career working primarily in outpatient neurological rehabilitation, and in 2014 she became a Neuro IFRAH certified therapist, for the management and treatment of spasticity in individuals with hemiplegia. She has been a clinical educator of physical therapy students since early in her career.

Staci’s clinical focus is that in the area of neurological physical therapy, including stroke, brain injury and spinal cord. She is assisting in the instruction of neurological and foundational content to the students in the program here at Alvernia University.
