Sandy McEwen is the Administrative Assistant for Student Success. She remarks, “I enjoy the tasks involved in Connection Days, meeting the incoming freshman class and their families and answering their questions. My position affords me many opportunities to help students and to be the first smiling face that they encounter when they enter our office and provide them with a great first impression.” Sandy was a part of the initial team to create the information found on the Portal. She set up and maintains the information on the Portal for Career Development, First Year Experience, Freshman Foundation, and Study Abroad pages.
Sandy received her Associate’s degree from Reading Area Community College, prior to getting married and raising her family. Although it has been twenty years since college, she is eager to continue her education with the pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Human Resource Management. She is pleased to makes the Dean’s List on a regular basis and plans to continue that trend. Previously employed as a Secretary, a Full-time Realtor, an HR Recruiter, and 14 years of customer service and Sales experience in the Telecommunications industry serving businesses and consumers.
Sandy is married with two children and a life-long Berks County resident. Her son is a sophomore at Penn State Main Campus in the Air Force ROTC and her daughter is a high school senior. Enjoys spending leisure time in their house in the mountains - going four-wheeling or snowmobiling.
