Shelly joined the Office of Community Standards in September 2014. Before that she served as a Counselor for the Office of Student Financial Planning, when she joined the Alvernia University community in March 2013.
Shelly began her career at Virginia Tech, were she served as a Graduate Hall Director for the Office of Residence Life from 2009-2011. While at Virginia Tech she earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, with a Higher Education Administration concentration. She completed several internships at Virginia Tech's Cranwell International Center and Women's Center and at Lebanon Valley College's Admissions Office. Prior to coming to Alvernia, she was Assistant Director for Residential Life at Albright College in Reading, PA from 2 years.
Shelly was born and raised in Berks county. She graduated from Tulpehocken High School in Bernville, PA and earned her B.S. in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA. She lives with her husband and their dog, Buster, in their home close to campus. Shelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, running, and photography.
