Internships provide students with practical knowledge of professional environments within their majors, offer networking opportunities, and the chance to clarify their choice of major. They are an invaluable way to gain work experience required by employers in a competitive job market!Students may start an internship the summer beginning their junior year.
The Career Development office assists students in researching and applying for internships, but students must meet with their academic advisor to discuss the specific major academic requirements and to obtain any required forms before applying for an internship position. In some cases, it is even possible to create your own internship position with proper approvals.
