Post a Job or Internship

The Alvernia University Office of Career Development utilizes the College Central Network to provide our students and alumni the ability to search employment opportunities posted to our own secured, on-line job board.  Employers who want to share their open positions with Alvernia students and alumni should register on our College Central website.

Please complete the Employer Recruitment Visit Request Form to select your recruitment event and date and return to career.development@alvernia.edu or call 610-796-8277 with any questions.

Career and Internship Fairs

We host several, small industry-centered networking and career fairs throughout the academic year.  If you would like to receive an invitation to an event, contact career.development@alvernia.edu.  The Alvernia Office of Career Development actively participates in the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Career Expo (LVCCE) and Teacher Recruitment Day (TRD) at Millersville University.

Internships

Internships provide students with practical knowledge of professional environments within their majors, offer networking opportunities, and the chance to clarify their choice of major. They are an invaluable way to gain work experience required by employers in a competitive job market.

The Career Development Office assists students in researching and applying for internships, but students must meet with their academic advisor to discuss the specific major academic requirements and to obtain any required forms before applying for credit bearing internships.  Approval of internship opportunities occurs between the student and their academic department.

Please view the Career Development Employer Internship Guidelines and Alvernia University Recruitment Policies for additional information about guidelines for internships.
