What can I do with a major in Business Management?
Business Management is a major for students with an interest in the complexities of the world of business. Designed for the generalist, a business management program (sometimes called business administration) equips a student to serve as a decision-maker in commerce of all kinds. A review of the curriculum will reveal study in accounting, management issues and practices, human resources, marketing and labor relations. Among the most flexible majors, the skills learned in business management can be teamed with interests, passions, experiences or locale. Students considering this major are urged to give further thought to the particular industry where they might use this training: retail, hospitality, healthcare, durable goods, manufacturing, transportation, construction, etc.
