Stitch to Serve
Stitch to Serve seeks to encourage an appreciation of knitting and crocheting among the Alvernia community, while providing opportunities for community members to learn these skills and to create projects that will be donated to those in need.

Goals:
• Provide a time and place for those who enjoy knitting and crocheting to meet regularly.
• Donate knitted and crocheted items to local organizations for those in need.
• Volunteer at least once a semester at one of the area organizations to which projects are donated.
• Hang out and share snacks while you knit or crochet (even learn if you don’t know how)!
• Donate every other item you make to charity; we will supply the yarn!
This year, donations will go to young mothers at Mary's Shelter and area hospitals, and also the little animals at Berks Humane Society.
