Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) provides an opportunity for individual leadership and development while also determining, in cooperation with the administration and faculty, suitable standards for college and community life. SGA leaders, elected annually by the student body, are responsible for maintaining the student voice when issues on campus arise. Other duties include activities such as social events, speakers series, and club activities. The SGA also acts as an intermediary between administration, faculty, and the student body, and maintains order on campus by proposing rules and regulations for the welfare of the college community. A copy of the approved SGA Constitution and by laws can be found on this web site, in the SGA office, and in the office of Student Activities.

Student Government has worked to:
  1. Increase student awareness of the Student Government Association.
  2. Voice student concerns to both faculty and administration.
  3. Build a solid foundation between the students and administration.
  4. Provide active and diverse social atmosphere throughout the college community.
  5. Continuously support and fund student club and organization initiatives.
  6. Major improvements to campus life such as game room equipment, commuter lockers in BH, equipment for the college's intermural programs, and the large movie screen in FH Aud.

Get involved on campus! SGA leaders are often asked to serve, or locate others to serve, as student members on committees concerning almost every aspect of the college. Please call 610-796-8341 if you are interested in representing the student opinion.
