Alvernia University’s English Language Program is committed to providing affordable, high quality English language instruction and promoting intercultural awareness and understanding for the non-native learner. We offer small classes for all levels, from beginning to advanced.

Our center is located in Melrose Park, a tree-lined, historical community just north of Philadelphia. Philadelphia is the home of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Phillies baseball team, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Constitution Center, and the world famous Philadelphia Art Museum. The area is culturally diverse and centrally located: 2 hours to NYC, 1 ½ hours to the New Jersey shore, 2 ½ hours to Washington, D.C., and one hour to the Pocono Mountains where there are outdoor activities during all four seasons.
