Can this program be done on a part-time basis?
This program is designed with the working adult in mind. Classes can be done on either a part-time or a full-time basis.
What is meant by blended courses?
Blended courses deliver 30-75% of the content electronically conducted through asynchronous and synchronous tools. In asynchronous class sessions, materials and discussion are accessed through a course management program called Blackboard™. Additional online resources, tools, and activities may be integrated into the course delivery. In synchronous class sessions, materials and discussions are conducted through audio conferencing and/or video conferencing using a service called Horizon Wimba®.
When is the application deadline?
The RN to BSN Completion Program operates on a rolling admissions basis. There is no application deadline as applications are evaluated throughout the year.
When can I begin taking classes?
After you are accepted into the program you can register for classes. Alvernia offers multiple registration times throughout the calendar year—two 16-week semesters and six 8 week sessions.
Does Alvernia University accept employer reimbursement?
Alvernia University accepts employer tuition reimbursement as well as tuition deferment. Tuition deferment is a privilege given to RN-BSN students at Alvernia University. Alvernia offers students the opportunity to defer payment of their tuition when they will be receiving reimbursement from their employer.
