With a new interactive website, interesting workshops, and career interviews with prestigious companies like Beard, Miller & Company, LLP., Alvernia’s Office of Career Services is just getting started for the fall semester. Take a look below to see some of what Career Services has planned for the next couple of months:
A New Interactive Website:
The new site is up and running! Post your resume or see hundreds of available positions by visiting the Alvernia Office of Career Services on the web at: www.collegecentral.com/alvernia.
Open House:
The Career Services Center in Room 1104 Bernardine Hall, is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, September 5, from 1 to 8 p.m. for students and alumni. Stop by to learn more about what Career Services can do for you.
Some services include: bringing recruiters to campus; an online jobs data bank where students and alumni can post resumes and search for employers world wide; online career interest and assessment tools; coaching for interviews and resume and letter writing; career research; internships; professional and graduate school applications; and workshops.
While you’re there, meet Jennifer Dalton, the new Career Services Coordinator, and enjoy cookies and hot cider. Door prizes will be given out every ten minutes.
…and if you can’t make the Open House, don’t miss this:
Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 8AM – 4:30PM: Beard, Miller & Company, LLP. Will be conducting interviews in the Career Center, Bernardine Hall Room 1104-D. Interested accounting and business alums must submit resumes by Monday, September 17, 2007 to the Office of Career Services for screening by BMC. Candidates will be notified if selected for an October 3rd interview.
