This is an opportunity for us to come before the real presence of Jesus to pray, meditate, reflect. A beautiful Catholic tradition that goes back to the Middle Ages, Eucharistic Adoration is offered on campus once a month at 8pm.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration refers to simply being with Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, which is the body and blood of Christ.
During Eucharistic Adoration, the priest will take the Eucharist out of the tabernacle and place it in a monstrance on the altar. Time is given for silent meditation and reflective prayer. A special prayer and blessing, called the Benediction, is then led by the priest.
This tradition offers an opportunity to spend time with Jesus in prayer. You can attend and observe, even if you do not wish to participate.
