Reserves
Instructions for Faculty
Books or photocopies to be placed on reserve should be
given to John Nelka (x8490) in the library. Only one copy of a photocopied
item may be placed on reserve. Faculty should complete a reserve
materials form for each item. These forms are available online
or at the library circulation counter. In addition to instructor, course
number and course name, the form includes space for the title of the
reserve book or photocopy. This title should correspond to the title
used in the course syllabus or assignment. This will aid the students
in locating the correct reading. Please allow 48 hours for the reserves
to be processed. Faculty using WebCT can
request that a reserve reading be made available electronically.
Instructors should retrieve their reserve materials by
the end of the semester. The library staff will be able to inform the
instructor the number of times an item has circulated; however, no
information regarding the identity of students who checked-out the
material will be available.
Instructions for Students
- Students can access reserve materials either at the circulation
desk or through WebCT if
the instructor has made the copy available electronically.
- Reserves are available for in-library use only.
- Students must have their library card with them in order to access
reserves.
- Students who fail to return a reserve item will be charged the
replacement cost of the item.
