Alvernia University students report library sessions are a valuable component of their coursework. Approximately 80% of the students surveyed reported they gained a better understanding of the library, they are more willing to use the library, and the content of the session was relevant to their coursework.
Students also rated the style of the presentation quite favorably. More than 85% of the students reported the objectives of the session were clearly defined, and the information was presented in an organized and clear manner. The number of students who felt asking questions was encouraged during the session dropped slightly to 82%.
Students completed the survey at the end of a library session. A total of 215 students completed the survey during the 2005 -2006 academic year
