Information Services provides computing support to all faculty, staff, and students, and over 1,000 computers on the campus. Information Services supports all enterprise computing and networking on campus, help desk services, and PC deployment and repair. The office works closely with Educational Services and Administrative computing to provide technical infrastructure support to those technology organizations.
Administrative Computing supports the SunGard SCT PowerCAMPUS administrative information system. the department is also responsible for the administration and management of the IQ.Web system.
The Library is responsible for the acuisition, organization and maintenance of knowledge and information materials in both print and electronic format. The library staff works closely with the faculty to plan the development and employment of the library to achieve their educational objectives. The staff is also committed to providing Alvernia's students with a command of information resources tht will support life-long learning and fulfillment.
The Educational Services Department assists faculty and students in the use of instructional technology to support teaching and learning. The department provides a variety of services including the WebCT Course management System; instructional technology support in the classrooms and computer labs; instuctional design support for the faculty; media services; computer workshops; and identification and acquisition of instructional software. The department is also responsible for the administration and mangement of the Alvernia College Website.
